PRO-VET® Protest

Indication

PRO-VET® Protest complete and balanced specialized dry cold-pressed nutrition for adult dogs of all breeds with food allergy or gastrointestinal hypersensitivity; also suitable for dogs with chronic incidence of arthritic and rheumatic disorders.
PRO-VET® Protest is special developed for dogs with food hypersensitivity and for dogs with diminished mobility, osteoarthritis or susceptibility to develop this conditions. PRO-VET® Protest is enriched with a mixture of very effective chondro-protective agents, namely salmon oil, New-Zealand Green-Lipped Mussel and shark cartilage, which naturally contain GAGs (glucosaminoglycans) and chondroitin sulphate.

PRO-VET® Protest is a cold pressed dry food – an unique alternative for extrudered dry dog food. The biggest difference between pressed and extrudered feeds are the absolute temperature which is used during the production. During the extrusion the temperature will rise to above 100°.C. Because of this, these food is baked and a so called gets crispy shape.
On the other hand, by pressing PRO-VET® Protest the temperature does not run higher on than maximum 80°.C – this temperature guarantees that the most important ingredients of PRO-VET® Protest, such as shark cartilage extract and New-Zealand Green-Lipped Mussel extract, function optimally.
By dogs the osteoartrose is a frequent attentive chronic, progressive and painful sickness of the movement apparatus. A serious osteoarthrose forming can be the reason for euthanasia. Besides, the degeneration of cartilage will be typified till the inflammatory responses syndrome in the synoniale membrane. In the light of above differences, salmon oil rich diet could give a positive impact on osteoartrose. At people this has been already shown. Four recent studies in different veterinary clinics have shown that dietary with salmon oil, New-Zealand Green-Lipped Mussel and shark cartilage extract slows down the progression of osteoarthritis by dogs. In a standard test, weight bearing was tolerated better by patients fed the test diet instead the control food.

Beside the written above, there is still an important reason why PRO-VET® Protest is pressed and not extrudered.
By a pressed shape the feeding substances are released more evenly. That comes because these shape solves slowly from the outside.
The consequence of it, is a maximum digestibility of PRO-VET® Protest as a result of which the chance on flatulence torsions is clearly smaller.

With oxidation reducing substance strong tocopherol-rich extract (Vitamin E) of natural origin (from Vegetable Oils). PRO-VET® products meet the requirements as stated by AAFCO, NRC and/or FEDIAF. Produced and packed in Holland, production takes place under certification of: NEN ISO 9001 / GMP+.

Directions for use: The kibbles are ready to be eaten. Make sure that you always provide plenty of fresh and available drinking water for your dog. Regularly clean food and water bowls. Store in a cool dry place, away from direct sunlight. Feeding guide: Because each dog has different requirements, the recommended daily quantities on the packaging should only be used as a guide. This is a guide only as an individual dog’s requirements will vary depending on various factors including breed, activity level, metabolism, age and environment. Feeding quantities should be adjusted to suit your individual dog’s requirements. The amount of feed the best to divide into two meals per day.

Storage

While dry food will not spoil as rapidly as other types of food, it does not last indefinitely. Always make sure that you use such foods before the expiration date. Keep the food dry and store it inside the bag it came in; we design the bags to resist moisture and airflow. The best way to store a large bag of dog or cat food is to place the original bag inside a clean plastic pail or container with a secure lid. Do not store dry food in humid rooms, as damp conditions will accelerate spoiling. Always roll the top of the bag down tightly and cinch it closed with a clip. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that pet owners keep dry foods and treats in locations that do not exceed 23 °C (degrees Calsius) or 74 °F (degrees Fahrenheit).
